Primary schools across the UK are using an award-winning digital learning service to get pupils ready for this year’s SATs tests. Discovery Education Espresso is helping thousands of teachers by providing dynamic online resources which keep children engaged and make revision fun.

Primary schools leaders are being encouraged to take pupil health and wellbeing digital in a bid to boost healthy eating. Discovery Education Espresso, the leading digital learning service, have joined forces with Switzerland’s Alimentarium Foundation to launch an exciting new range of resources which take a fresh approach to Science and nutrition teaching.

Coding now accounts for half of all Primary Computing, but delivering it can be daunting, even for the most tech-savvy teachers. Discovery Education Coding is a complete resource, helping teachers to meet every aspect of this challenging curriculum area. Over 2.5 million apps have been coded by pupils using the service. UK teachers strike gold in California

Six tech-savvy Primary school teachers will be inspiring their pupils this term after spending part of the summer break at a celebrated teaching event in California. The Discovery Education Summer Institute is held annually in the US, and attracts educators from all over the world. The British teachers - from schools in Birmingham, London and Hertfordshire - were chosen for their enthusiasm in using new technology in the classroom. They were flown to San Diego where they joined over 100 educators for a week of professional development at the University of California. 

As the first manned mission to Mars draws nearer, UK students are being offered a unique opportunity to join the race to the red planet - by designing a space habitation module for NASA. The challenge – the first of its kind in the UK – has been launched today by Discovery Education as part of a new national STEM education programme: Generation Beyond. Unveiled at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) in Gloucestershire, the exciting initiative will deliver space exploration resources to UK schools, inspiring the next generation of innovators, explorers and astronauts to pursue STEM careers.

Teachers from schools across the UK gathered at Stratford’s Discover Centre on 12th June to explore new ways of using technology to boost literacy and maintain creativity in the classroom. Hosted by Discovery Education, the fast-paced event saw 80 educators come together at East London’s award-winning storytelling museum for a ‘Day of Discovery’, where they shared the latest ideas and tech tools for inspiring a love of stories, language and reading.

Schools around the world are being invited to tune in to a unique digital broadcast this week, as part of global celebrations to mark the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare. Digital content providers Discovery Education will host a virtual field trip from Stratford-upon-Avon on 22nd April from 14:30 to 15:00 (BST), giving students worldwide the chance to explore the Bard’s birthplace, school, and other historic locations without leaving their classrooms. Presented by Diane Louise Jordan and featuring Sir Ian McKellen, the Shakespeare 400 broadcast will provide a compelling insight into the life and legacy of the world’s most famous playwright.
