ReadingWise

ReadingWise UK actually began life in India in 2006. Known there by its Hindi name of Tara Akshar, it quickly became the country’s most successful literacy programme. Since 2015, we've helped over 16,000 UK pupils in hundreds of UK schools, with an average reading age increase of 9 months in 20 hours. ReadingWise UK contains almost 2,000 lessons to thoroughly address all issues with letter recognition, phonics, sight words, chunking and all the other impediments to fluent reading.

Boosting literacy levels for all pupils

In the autumn term of 2015, headteacher Jenny Taylor ran a new, two-week initiative at her school, Horfield Church Of England Primary in Bristol. A trial of literacy platform ReadingWise saw major improvements for the 10 pupils involved; so much so that the school now runs three intervention groups of ten pupils daily, helping them to reach many struggling readers.
