Caitlin Brown

Caitlin Brown is an Education Manager at the British Science Association, where she has worked for over three years. In her role, Caitlin has overseen the logistics of the recent Youth Industrial Strategy Competition, a national science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) competition aimed at finding solutions to the greatest challenges facing modern society. The competition has been developed in partnership with the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, and is supported by UK Research and Innovation. It challenged 11-to-19-year-olds to use science and technology to tackle issues relating to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data, Ageing Society, Clean Growth and the Future of Mobility.

When it comes to teaching STEM, it is important to make learning as creative as possible for students, in order to boost their engagement and deepen subject knowledge.
