How to improve note-taking in the classroom

“As a former Secondary teacher, I have experienced first-hand how some students feel disconnected with a lesson when they struggle to write paper-based notes. This is why my Conversor NTE colleagues and I created the Notetalker app; the ultimate remote note-taking resource to support teachers, teaching assistants and students. Using this software, students and teachers can capture audio and visuals during a classroom activity, with a remote note taker providing revision notes within 24, 48 or 72 hours.

Conversor NTE, the creators of the audio productivity tool Notetalker, have launched a remote note taking service to support teachers, teaching assistants and students. Using the Notetalker app, students and teachers can capture audio and visuals during a classroom activity, with a remote note taker providing revision notes within 24, 48 or 72 hours. Conversor NTE will be providing an introductory online presentation of their note-taking service on Wednesday 9th November at 4pm.

At this month’s Bett Show, assistive-technology experts Conversor will be launching their new Notetalker app, which will allow students and teachers to record audio, bookmarks and images in the classroom. With this resource, everything from the lesson’s discussion to guided reading and Science experiments can be easily captured in detail. Bett 2016 will be taking place from 20th - 23rd January at ExCeL London, and the Conversor team will be hosting Stand G83.

Surrey-based company Conversor has brought together the knowledge of assistive technology experts and teachers to create Notetalker Classroom Assistant. This resource brings together the Notetalker app and Notetalker Edit software, while offering staff the ability to integrate with their School’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).

Conversor, leaders in assistive technology, have released a series of updates for their SEN-friendly Notetalker solutions which will help teachers as well as pupils. Notetalker App, combined with a Universal microphone and cable kit for any smartphone or tablet, uses a simple user interface which allows the recording of classes. These developments have been made with CPD and working on identified weaknesses, such as after an Ofsted inspection. The range of Notetalker products is priced from £4.99 to £119.98.

Hearing solutions company, Conversor has launched a new brand for its voice recording apps and edit suite family of products. The Notetalker website uses a simple user interface to share their innovative recording solutions. These apps allow students to record classes, with the ability to bookmark or tag important information with a simple bookmark or a text description. The software is easy to use and organise, and both filenames and folders can be made or changed at any moment. With these features, Notetalker apps are particularly useful for SEN students.
