Tim Parker

Tim Parker is a Geography teacher in the north east of England. Born and raised in Sheffield, Tim took a gap year and travelled around Australia and New Zealand before completing his undergraduate degree in Geography and Town Planning at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. He is a keen sports man with a passion for cricket and rugby as well a climbing and other outdoor sports. Tim also enjoys giving presentations on self-improvement and self-belief and most recently on the role that our body language can have on our minds. Tim is also available for online geography tuition across all levels and exam boards.

Using old-school maps in the classroom

So here it goes. This is my first attempt at writing a blog entry and I am not sure how good it will be, however, I can probably guarantee that it will be better than the average person’s location knowledge of the UK. The number of times I have been speaking to someone living in London and they talk about the fact that they are going ‘down to Newcastle’ or vice versa is enough to drive a Geography teacher mad.
