News Case Studies Colchester Council opts for 3 new ‘Early Learning’ buildings with high quality, timber-framed modular solutions
Colchester Council recently chose Premier Interlinks exciting new PremierClassic building for the construction of 2 pre-school centres and a primary school building.
This cost-effective off-site construction system from Premier Interlink (Waco UK Ltd), uses only timber sourced from FSC registered companies. It not only met their needs for sustainability, warranties and quality, but also offered surety of cost and programme.
The system is ideal for one or two storey buildings and has a superior acoustic performance, high levels of thermal insulation to dramatically reduce the building's carbon footprint and meets all relevant building regulations.
From placement of order to handover, the project was completed within a 12 week period.
Each building incorporates an overhanging roof, large picture windows, exterior cedar cladding and rendered panels and building entrances that comply with DDA & part M requirements. Internally there are spacious classrooms, a baby room, offices, training room, lobby, toilets and disabled toilets.
