New research sheds light on the tech-habits of children

By eBuyer on Wednesday, 09 April 2014 11:32 | Trends & Analysis

Britain’s youngest are in many ways its brightest, particularly when it comes to technology. Chances are, your eight-year-old can use your tablet far more intuitively than you can, and this kind of whip-smart tech-knowhow means that the education sector has some very exciting years ahead, as shown in research undertaken by ebuyer.

New research from electronics-retailer ebuyer has given insight into the tech-habits of the UK’s young people, such as home internet usage, social network visits and texting. For example, 51% of households with a 3 - 15-year-old own a tablet computer, and 83% of parents trust their children to use the internet safely. This information is likely to be of great interest to both educators and parents alike, as it shows how we can best deliver quality guidance and education to those in school.

eBuyer is an electronic commerce retailer based in Howden, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is the largest independent online retailer of computer and electrical goods in the United Kingdom.
