ClickView is a digital video delivery and management platform made specifically for Primary and Secondary schools.
The following 7 areas of ClickView’s functionality are unique – and are not found in other video-streaming solutions:
1. ClickView uses existing computer and network infrastructure – server-side, client-side, and administration-side – to minimise upfront cost
ClickView is a software and video-content solution that can be deployed onto any Windows-based computer network.
ClickView Library Server can be run from existing Windows servers.
ClickView Library Manager can be run from the desktop PCs of staff that require administration access to the ClickView Library Server
ClickView Player can be installed onto any Windows PC and Apple Mac to provide teacher and student access to the video content on the ClickView Library Server
2. Predictive File Transfer
ClickView does not ‘stream’ video. ClickView uses a patented method of video delivery built specifically for delivering video within an educational environment – with a focus on maximising the number of concurrent users with minimal server-side hardware requirements. Using Predictive File Transfer, an entry-level server is capable of delivering video to 200+ concurrent users.

3. Export to PowerPoint/VLE
ClickView’s use of Predictive File Transfer (see above) allows the client-side ClickView Player software to edit and export video - allowing teachers to create custom snippets of videos for use in a PowerPoint presentation or to be embedded into a virtual learning environment (VLE).
This is one of ClickView’s most popular features – and is not found in any other local area network video delivery solution available to schools in the United Kingdom.
4. ClickView Exchange
The ClickView Exchange (exchange.clickview.co.uk) is the largest legal educational video-sharing community in the United Kingdom. The ClickView Exchange Server, hosted by ClickView Limited, currently contains 1700+ free-to-air television show recordings – which have been contributed by schools within the United Kingdom under the licence of their ERA licence (Educational Recording Agency).
Unlimited access to the ClickView Exchange is granted exclusively to ClickView customers – at no extra charge.
5. ERA Compliance
The ClickView solution was built in accordance with the Educational Recording Agency’s guidelines for the recording of broadcast television within United Kingdom schools.
ClickView is the only commercially available video delivery solution which contains the required ‘copyright notices’ as specified by the Educational Recording Agency. These copyright notices are automatically displayed when a teacher/user requests access to broadcast television. The ClickView software also contains reporting tools which automate the process of reporting video recording and usage to the ERA.
