Engaging students in decision making has been proven to increase attendance as pupils feel included and that their ideas can improve the content of and environment that they work in.
Parents, teachers, governors and local people can all have accounts and all take part in school decisions. Who to include in which debates is a decision taken by the school admin and/or school council.

Using Every1Speaks can be cheaper than having a student voice 'expert' train your pupils for just one day. It's also cheaper than having an external agency run a one off questionnaire with pupils that often creates far more information than you need and usually raises more questions than it answers. With E1S you, or your school council can ask pupils questions whenever you like for one cost.
Parents can be included in discussions as relevant and they'll enjoy the game based elements of E1S as much as the pupils will!
Only verified users can access this and we use SSL certificated encryption. Ideas and comments aren't directly linked to users to prevent cyber bullying. Names etc aren't included and you can choose to moderate all content before it goes live.

Our main impulse is to make a platform any and all pupils have an equal voice in. We want to help your school council canvas the opinions of the entire student body over an extended time period - one off questionnaires force everyone to answer everything on one day - why not add your opinion on a debate when it's most important to you and be given the opportunity to change your opinion based on what others say - this is normal social interaction played out through technology and we call it 'Social Curiosity'.
We use an innovative system loosely based on Edward De Bono's thinking hats that allows users to self classify opinion based on the stand point it came from. Our approach promotes literacy and persuasive writing without alienating poor writers by having too much text. Our text limiters promote concise ideas and we reward interaction with the site through the unlocking of achievements and medals.
We are currently working towards the next level of the RRSA award, and I can honestly say we wouldn’t have made this progress without Every1Speaks.
