Pack Contents

These post compulsory lesson DVDs cover a range of subjects and are supplied with reports and judgements made by a qualified Ofsted inspector. Unlike other lessons on DVD, reports and judgements are based on the video evidence.

Lesson DVDs packs include a CD with teachers’ lesson plans, lesson report and judgement, evaluation forms, and a range of continuing professional development activities prepared by Edge Hill University.

A2 Psychology

They are encouraged to talk about the design of the campaign and who their target audiences are, how it might be deployed, issues etc. This will lead on to the group designing their own campaigns in following lessons.

How does this help a school?
Teaching & Learning
Schools, colleges and universities nationwide are using our lessons for a range of purposes including:

Initial Teacher Training – resources can be used with new initial teacher trainees before they enter their professional placements and lead their own classes. The resources help trainees to identify areas of good practice and areas for future development.

ITT Mentor Training – experienced teachers and tutors who act as mentors for teacher trainees, may find the classroom videos a useful training resource to help identify strengths and areas for development of practitioners via the observation process. The resources could be used as a standardisation exercise for mentors who are required to grade the lessons of their mentees.

Observation Team Training – internal inspection and observation teams may find the classroom video resources useful in preparing for a new round of internal observations, using the resource as a standardisation tool to ensure grades awarded are consistent across the team.

INSET, CPD and Staff Development – the classroom video resources could be used as part of a staff development event for organisations preparing for inspection. Teaching colleagues could watch and comment on each of the videos to highlight areas of good practice and to identify those areas which observers would identify as requiring further development.
