Publisher's description

EMAS UK is the National EMAS service that supports schools and teachers to deliver quality education to pupils and parents that do not have English as their first language (EAL).

We currently support over 5% of all UK schools with our best value service in over 200 languages. EMAS UK is recognised to be best practice and recently won 2011 ERA Award, 2011 BETT Award along with our 2010 ERA Award.

Having it written down helps focus the next steps.

Every school has policies that inform practice, we will help hone the EAL/EMA/BME policy so that it offers guidance and support for all teachers and is relevant for all learners.

Included in the policy writing

  • A half day visit by a trained auditor
  • A written policy focussed on the school
  • A session for all staff to have ownership of the new policy
