A one day course which will explore ways of achieving outstanding progress in Maths. The day has been designed to include the journey of Maths in KS2, practical problem solving and investigative approaches. The price is £125 per person and £200 for two delegates from the same school and £300 for three.
This day is for Maths coordinators, KS2 teachers and senior leaders.
Objectives of the day are:
- To provide practical examples of how a school has raised standards in Maths.
- To moderate maths levels.
- To provide practical materials and links to investigative and problem solving resources.
- To provide a CD copy that shares excellent resources with schools on each area of Maths.
This course is led by Pamela Matty (NET Associate Director), a pioneer of various mathematics programmes in Birmingham. Pamela brings a wealth of experience to the course as headteacher at Grove School in Handsworth. Debate and discussion are encouraged amongst participants, creating a friendly atmosphere throughout the day.
