Night Zookeeper launches to celebrate creativity in UK children

An exciting new website called NightZookeeper.com has launched in the UK providing children with an online outlet for their boundless creative potential.

This innovative learning resource is based on the adventures of a Night Zookeeper and the fantastical animals he meets on his daily rounds.

It provides children with the opportunity to create magical animals and paint, draw, sing and play their way through an ever-evolving online game designed by children from around the world.

Creator of Night Zookeeper, Joshua Davidson, is committed to inspiring and nurturing creativity in children.

He said: “We firmly believe that a child’s imagination deserves freedom.

“Our aim is to engage children in schools and at homes across the world to enable them to explore the infinite possibilities of a piece of paper and not just to rely on computers and television for their imagination.”

Paul Hutson, education director, said he first saw the potential for the website through the delivery of a primary school art and literacy project in 2007.

He said: “Every child that has taken part in Night Zookeeper has thoroughly enjoyed the story and the creative opportunities it offers them.

“The Night Zookeeper project fosters a great sense of creativity among pupils and has enabled my students to produce some of their most imaginative work.”

The company will be running Night Zookeeper across the UK through this school year, and is providing all of the teaching resources to any primary school that wants to run the project themselves, for free.

The Night Zookeeper experience at home costs just £4.99 per month.
