Having previously bought one of Gill Vaisey's books to use when reading and discovering with my grand-children, I have now purchased "A Wet and Windy Harvest for Puddles" as one of the girls will be covering harvest at nursery. I couldn't to wait to share the book and we are already enjoying the topics the book includes, particularly colours, texture and the changing seasons. I know we will have many more hours of fun from this book and I am now placing an order for the soft toy Puddles together with the Christmas book which I know will make an excellent present.

This is a quite charming addition to resources for early years. The story is very well told and quickly captures the interest of early years pupils. Illustrations are bold and clear - they vividly bring to life the characters of Puddles and Freddie. But beware - your children will demand to find out a lot more about Puddles and you may need to buy the whole series before they are satisfied!!! Supporting resources, especially the soft toys of Puddles and Freddie are loved by the children and bring the story to life, creating interest, activity and lively discussion amongst the youngsters!!!
