The POB-BOT Golden Pack II is the POB robot equiped with a gripper. You can take up and move objects. Like for all POB robots, the color camera allows you to do pattern recognition. It is equiped with a mechanical base, an intelligent color camera, a screen, an I/O module, a 2 axis motorized gripper and a distance sensor. The robot is delivered already mounted and ready to use. The gripper and the distance sensor Positionned in front of the robot, the Gripper POB-Grip is used to pick up objects and to move them. The distance sensor allows the robot to measure to distance to the object to pick up. The distance snsor can also be used for obstacle avoidance. The gripper can go up and down, open and close. |
Accessories of a POB robot are usable with other POB robots.
This robotic kit allows you to build your custom projects, for example you can add:
- Sensors and actuator on the robot.
- Integrate servomotors to create an arm.
- Or add...your imagination !!!
APPLICATIONS
| Science fields in high school Taking objects to a storage area brinf interesting problems to solve in robotics. The identification of the object, the positionning of the robot and the move to the storage area are the parameters we have to master. The color camera and the distanc sensor of the gripper are used to identify the piece and to place correctly the robot. The gripper holds two strings to avoid to manage the force when you close it. Yet, it is possible to take off the strings if you need more strength. It is what students did in the School Edmond Labbé of Douai (France). |
