Impleo working with Essex County Council
Impleo has been working in partnership with Essex County Council to deliver the Essex Imagine Centre.....
Essex County Council approached Impleo to deliver a high level AVIT solution and futuristic learning environment in the Imagine Centre at the Weston Homes Community Stadium in Colchester – A prestigious new development and the new home to Colchester United Football Club.
The vision for Essex was to be able to demonstrate a range of interactive technologies with direct relevance to modern educational needs combined with state of the art environment control systems. The solution deployed provides full control of all systems and equipment from lighting and blinds through to IT and Audio Visual equipment. By integrating this with the leading WiFi equipment, the whole environment is controllable from a single hand held wireless control panel.
Working closely with Essex Council, Impleo provided innovative design concepts to meet their Immersive Learning vision. This was achieved by using today’s cutting edge technologies to provide an innovative learning space.
The combination of a range of High Definition Audio Visual equipment including a 9 screen Video wall and a rear projected Interactive Touch enabled Glass wall which provides visitors with an interactive experience on entering the reception area of the Imagine Centre.
The automatic blinds and advanced lighting level is set at the push of a button on the Impleo control panel to create a dramatic and cinematic learning environment. The centre piece of the room is the 9m wide floor to ceiling High Definition projection system, providing the very latest cinema-style viewing. The projection system is complemented by a multi-zoned 5.1 Dolby surround sound system and a trio of 65” touch screen plasma’s for added interactivity and viewing capability. This functionality benefits from plug, play and display PC devices in each zone. Added features integrated into the Impleo system include the Vision Projection Globe, Interactive Glass Table and the ceiling mounted projector with interactive floor projection.
All the screens can be used simultaneously to show video and computer based content from multiple sources through PiP (Picture in Picture) technology, all easily managed through a simple hand-held touch screen controller. User customised viewing combinations, from one full screen image through to multiple separate sources all displayed at the same time.
