Publisher's description
Soundbeam has been at the pinnacle of music resources for students with special needs for over twenty years. After 20 years of development the latest Soundbeam 5 incorporates a host of new features that users have consistently been asking for: fewer connections, simple navigation of controls, a sampler/record function, the facility to play melodically, a rich library of sound effects and rhythm loops, to name but a few. This 'all in the box' functionality provides a music and sound workstation that is now increasingly used in mainstream education too, and not just for music - multimedia, literacy, drama, dance - the possibilities are endless.

Curriculum
Delivering the national curriculum for music poses a challenge to teachers responsible for PMLD/SLD labelled students. Soundbeam allows learners AT ANY LEVEL of cognitive/physical ability to become expressive through music and sound, and it is also possible to calibrate the instrument so that it provides a meaningful level of challenge to more able students.
