What is Tweezy IEPs?
It is for creating, monitoring and storing Individual Education Plans with the benefit of sound recordings, pictures and video attachments. The system will remind you when an IEP is required and allow you to browse thousands of targets to create it. You may add your own too of course. You can easily record progress towards the IEP target and back this up with sound recordings, pictures or other evidence. Past and present IEPs are stored permanently on the system and these can be used to produce instant charts of progress over time. The same system can also be used to produce ALPs (Accelerated Learning Plans) for pupils who are recognised as gifted or talented to record additional resources or opportunities provided.

Therapists working in several establishments and all staff in schools and colleges, young offender institutes, PRU's or hospitals providing education to young people with learning difficulties or special educational needs.

As well as storing targets together with teaching strategies and the pupils own interpretation of the desirable outcome, IEPs can now be "brought to life" by allowing electronic "Files of evidence" to be attached. Teachers and assisting professionals can now add sound recordings of the pupils speech, video footage of their classroom behaviour, scans of their work and so on within the IEP itself.
Tweezy IEPs is demonstrated to remarkable effect by taking a look at one young girls IEP on the system. The girl is called Kiera and she is six years old. She attends mainstream school and her IEP had an overview of a speech problem which was being investigated by a medical team and had targets to improve speaking skills which the teacher had marked some progress on. However, in addition to this there were also recordings of Kiera reading from a book during her assessment phase and another recording made 8 weeks later. Attendance to school and punctual arrive times can be targets in the behaviour section of a pupils IEP. The software will then track these targets for you showing trends in attainment that will correlate with attendance.
In addition to IEPs which are plans for students with Special Educational Needs we also provide TAG plans (Talented and Gifted), Transition plans (important for career goals) and so on.
Our IEP template is customisable so if you would like a target area for Citizenship then this is easily done and you may add as many or few targets in that area as required.
Schools may customise the plan template to include a target area for community cohesion goals.
Targets that are placed on plans can be tagged with national curriculum or other equivalents. This means that a curriculum based level can be displayed that is calculated from the targets in use. Many of our target are levelled into P-Levels and NC levels.
An effective IEP can not only improve understanding and attainment but also act as evidence for assistance required. This can improve exam results by highlighting the need for a reader or other similar "helpers"
