IRIS has a whole host of features, from the software we provide, to the support we offer. Below is a list of the main features of the system.
IRIS is a web based application, giving you anytime, anyplace, anywhere access. Share information with colleagues and other education professionals, as well as parents and the pupils themselves, in real time! This means that your staff can spend less time chasing paper administering your rewards and behaviour system, saving time and money.
Built-in alert system. Improve both the efficiency and effectiveness of your pastoral staff with IRIS's paper-free system real-time text and email alerts. Use the alerts to track vulnerable or at risk of exclusion pupils or to let you know when someone else comments on an incident you have logged.
IRIS is an extremely simple system to use; minimal training is required for classroom teachers and it is accessible by even the least IT confident users. This encourages and facilitates widespread use of the system across the school. Staff enter behaviour and rewards information directly onto the system.
IRIS provides the most powerful, real-time analysis available to schools today, turning raw data into usable, useful information at the click of a mouse. Be ready for the new Ofsted inspection framework, with its increased focus on behaviour, by having all the facts and evidence literally at your fingertips. Have the facts and knowledge to inform your school plan and decision making processes in school and monitor the effects of policy changes in real-time. Find out what you want to know, when you want to know it.
IRIS includes a fully-featured rewards management system which will facilitate and encourage the use of rewards across the school. No more counting of of paper slips or stamps in exercise books; save time, effort and money on administering your school reward system. By encouraging rewards, IRIS promotes a positive leaning environment and better behaviour. !
Tally rewards by class, year or house group at the click of a button. This allows daily or weekly recognition of achieving pupils for assemblies and form time activities. IRIS also facilitates very simple administration of inter-form or house competitions for reward points across the school. IRIS can tally all the rewards points across the whole school for the whole year and rank them in order in the time it takes for you to read this sentence! Many schools find that IRIS can easily pay for itself in saved admin and clerical time alone.
IRIS allows you to provide pupil and parent access. Pupils can track their own behaviour and rewards. Some of our users report pupils monitoring and improving their own behaviour using IRIS. Parents can get instant email alerts to incidents and monitor their child's positive and negative behaviour history in real time.
IRIS is much more customisable and flexible than other behaviour management applications. The behaviour and rewards input screens are fully customisable to your needs. Giving you control over the input / output data. Monitor things that are important to you and don't be constrained by rigid input formats. The rewards can be fully customised to the needs of your school.
All staff, student and timetable information automatically exported from SIMS or CMIS. No information which already exists on SIMS or CMIS needs to be re-entered. Only the behaviour and rewards information need be entered, saving you time, effort and money in setting the system up.
IRIS offers outstanding support and value for money. The IRIS team provide excellent support, from full initial set-up and customisation to on-site training and on-going email and telephone support.

IRIS provides an extremely effective way of monitoring misbehaviour on an individual, class, year or whole school basis. We believe that time and effort spent in establishing an orderly working atmosphere has a greater positive overall effect on exam results than any amount of last minute booster or revision classes.
IRIS is the most cost effective behaviour management solution. We have not increased the cost of IRIS since its launch 4 years ago. Upcoming additional attendance and achievement tracking modules, included at no extra cost, will make IRIS unbeatable value.
Keep parents informed in real time of behaviour incidents. Parents have 24/7 live access to their own child's behaviour record. They can opt for email alerts as well if they wish.
Pupils have their own access to IRIS, being able to check their rewards points totals and rewards bank balances. They can also see their full behaviour record (minus teacher comments!) enabling pupils to take more responsibility for their own behaviour.
Lancashire Short Stay Schools are all investing in or encouraging their mainstream partners to have a good long look at IRIS!
Having looked at alternative tracking systems, we chose Iris because it dovetailed perfectly into our Behaviour for Learning policy, which lays emphasis on choice and consequences, and encourages positive behaviour. The ability to easily reward students for their affirmative behaviour has meant that more value has been placed on doing what is right. This positive conduct is then effortlessly collated and celebrated in achievement assemblies.
In terms of negative behaviour, Iris can be customised to incorporate C1, C2 and C3 incidents and the resultant detentions that are generated. Allied to this is an array of analytical tools which allow data to be usefully evaluated. In essence, informative profiles of pupils' behaviour in and around school are easily generated and are used in tracking performance, and intervention strategies
The whole system is fully user friendly and we have been able to give access to students so that they can become more responsible for their own behaviour. Similarly parents are able to retrieve real time data on their child's performance in school and with such knowledge are able to liaise positively with the school.
The support we have received from the Iris team has always been prompt and efficient and we have experienced only two hours downtime in the three years we have used Iris.
If staff in your school are still on a paper-chase, I would urge that you give urgent consideration to Iris.
