Bett 2017: Finding the right edtech for your school

Skooler
Skooler is a Norwegian company that focuses 100% on ICT in Education. Our Head Office is in Norway and we have an office in London. We work with a number of Partners across the Nordic region and in the UK. Our product, Skooler offers a collection of Learning tools, built inside Microsoft Office 365. We are not a standalone Learning Management System (LMS) but a collection of Learning Management Tools (LMT) that Schools will use alongside the Office365 solution provided by Microsoft. According to Microsoft this makes our offering unique compared to other solutions that are available. Our aim is to simplify the use of Office 365 in and outside of the classroom, providing tools to assist with Planning, Communication & Collaboration, assessment and learning.

As a partner of Microsoft, Skooler will be on the Microsoft Partner Campus during the Bett Show (25th - 28th January). Headteachers and educators can learn, be inspired and walk away with practical guidance around how they can transform their classroom and help “empower every student on the planet to achieve more”. You can find us at Stand P7.

How do you plan for such an event?

Well, now is a good time for school leaders and teachers to sit and work through their desired focus for 2017. What areas do you need to improve? Are you looking to update your network, teaching resources or tools used to help raise attainment for students? Or are you looking to improve parental engagement? Be objective, practical – what is your budget?

Book onsite/online demonstrations

The Microsoft Partner Campus (C300) is a popular place along with the hustle & bustle of the venue. Demonstrations can be distracting, therefore if you can see it is busy or if you are running out of time, why not schedule a demo with the vendor at a time convenient to you and your colleagues? They are free, with no commitment to purchase. Take advantage of special offers / promotional discounts available during Bett week.

Getting the right advice

With edtech in abundance there will be plenty of opportunity to discover the latest solutions available. Be prepared to spend time with vendors to discuss your challenges for the new academic year and what areas do you need to improve. They may not have a solution right for you, but will be able to refer you to the right company within the edtech community.

What is Skooler?

Throughout Bett week, Microsoft’s sessions will showcase technologies that have the most impact on educational outcomes, along with inspiring concepts to help develop 21st century skills with the help of their partners.

Skooler is committed to saving teachers time by providing all the tools they need daily in one simple portal – collaboration tools linked to a student’s view and our parent portal, making effective use of the existing Office 365 suite. For example, the Skooler assignment tool is linked to your curriculum, making it quick and easy to plan, allocate, mark and share feedback in live time to students and parents.

“The days of standalone, bespoke learning platforms have gone,” said Antony Moore, country manager at SkoolerUK. “We believe using the Microsoft Office 365 tools that teachers and students are familiar with, adding education specific functionality to manage student progress and wrapping it in an intuitive interface will make life easier for teachers and learners alike.”

Come and see us at Stand P7 on the Microsoft Partner Campus (C300). Book a demo with a member of the team to receive 25% discount – valid until 28th February 2017. We are also running a competition: Take a picture of yourself at the Microsoft stand with #SkoolerUK & #Bett2017 to be in with a chance to win Skooler free for a year!

We look forward to seeing you there. If you are unable to attend book a demo email [email protected] quoting reference “Bett2017DK”. Visit www.skooler.com/en for more information.
