Education Show 2017: Innovate My School and Bett Academies join forces

The Education Show

Free to attend, The Education Show is the UK’s largest showcase of best practice CPD, training and educational resources. Each year, thousands of education professionals gather to test and compare the latest resources, discuss policy and practice and form vital collaborative links with their peers.

On the back of our BETT Show success in January, we’re tremendously proud to be joining BETT Academies at this year’s Education Show. On the 16th and 17th March we'll be filming more Innovation Bursts videos, telling visitors about our popular speed dating events, and handing out free printed copies of the annual IMS Guide. If you’re attending, be sure to visit us at Stand D8.

The full Education Show (now in its 27th year) will be running from 16th to 18th March at the NEC Birmingham, and will be showcasing the latest innovative ideas, resources and insights available in the education marketplace. BETT Academies, meanwhile, will take place over 16th and 17th March, acting as a national centre of excellence dedicated to providing the very best in advice, guidance and inspiration to academies, MATs and schools exploring academisation.

“Taking part in BETT Academies will provide an ideal opportunity to find out how academies are innovating, and to identify how our community can support them with their growth,” said Innovate My School founder and managing director Michael Forshaw.

“We’ll also be conducting business as usual: filming Innovation Bursts videos with visitors, distributing printed copies of our Guide, and discussing how speed dates can support MATs with their procurement decisions.”

Renowned ballerina and TV presenter Darcey Bussell CBE will be headlining in the show’s Central Feature Theatre. She is the former principal of The Royal Ballet, now known for her recent role as a judge on BBC One’s hit TV show Strictly Come Dancing. Darcey will be hosting a session on Wednesday 16th March at 11.50, where she will be reading the speech she delivered at the Houses of Parliament in February, advocating the performing arts, dance fitness and physical literacy in schools. Darcey will then explain the essential elements and the passion behind her dance company, Diverse Dance Mix (DDMIX), and the multiple benefits of dance fitness for all.

The theme of this year’s Education Show is creativity in education and, once again, the event will host a number of education visionaries who will be speaking across the practitioner-led theatres. Visitors are invited to be inspired, gain key insights and share their thoughts on some of the most challenging topics currently facing educators. The three-day event will once again provide teaching professionals with the opportunity to explore, compare and test hundreds of resources and products, from over 300 exhibitors, all offering a wealth of knowledge and experience in their field.

To ensure you get the maximum time on the show floor, pre-register and book your place at the wide range of free CPD sessions at www.education-show.com. We very much hope to see you at Stand D8 during BETT Academies (16th - 17th March). For more information, contact [email protected].
