Following the successful model of the Bett shows internationally, Bett Academies has been created to maximise leaders’ time away from school and help them build vital collaborative links with peers, key education stakeholders and suppliers.
From their stand at D8, Innovate My School will be discussing the stories, needs and concerns of those both working at academies and those looking to, as well as sharing their own speed dating events, filming Innovation Bursts videos, distributing copies of the annual IMS Guide, and much more.
The Bett Academies CPD seminar sessions offer more than 20 hours of insights, addressing key issues including change management, effective leadership, and future-proofing education. Leading industry figures attending the event include:
- National schools’ commissioner David Carter, who will be providing an update on ‘academy progress’.
- Rob Tarn, regional chief executive and national leader of education at Outwood Grange Academies Trust, who will be sharing his advice on ‘implementing effective measures to transform schools and improve learning outcomes’.
- Cathie Paine, deputy chief executive at REAch2 Academy Trust, who will be discussing how to facilitate and enable a change in culture in academies.
Running alongside these seminar sessions, visitors will have the opportunity to attend masterclasses and surgeries which will address common areas of concern, including ‘your responsibilities for Health and Safety’, ‘understanding the legal responsibilities for contractors’ and ‘regulations regarding safeguarding’.
Registration for Bett Academies and its CPD and masterclass programmes are free-of-charge, however we do recommend early registration, which can be done here: www.bettacademies.com. Be sure to visit Innovate My School at Stand D8.
