The programme encompasses Key Stages 1 – 5, including special schools. It offers pupils rich and varied cross curricular learning experiences, enabling them to be immersed in history where it happened.
At the heart of the programme is an extensive range of facilitated learning sessions on site at the palaces. Also on offer to schools is a rich collection of online teacher resources, as well as a creative continuing professional development (CPD) programme which includes free familiarisation days for teachers to support their planning for a visit.
This year, HRP has introduced a brand-new GCSE offer. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the Normans, Elizabeth I and the Historic Environment through in-depth studies which encourage critical examination of primary source material.
Sign your school up for a visit to one of the six Historic Royal Palaces in the UK, the first 500 schools to sign up will win a Historic Royal Palaces A2 poster.
