Russell PrueThese are indeed interesting times; the world has changed and shows no sign of turning back. The opportunities for our young people have also changed, to be successful in the 21st Century you need to be good in groups, be creative, solve problems and think quickly on your feet. Working well in groups is hard to measure and we don’t yet assess thinking on your feet as part of a GCSE award!

Students learn a lot with Learnalot!
Learnalot is a SMART-accredited, game-based learning portal that uses high-quality resources with real-life scenarios to facilitate skills-based teaching in maths. Its aim is to make teaching and learning genuinely fun and engaging for students aged 11-16.

Each resource consists of three activities; each one taking between 30 minutes and 1 hour to complete. Each activity covers a different area of the syllabus that is relevant to the resource's theme - from dealing with budgets, loans and interest rates in Britain's Got Power to working with co-ordinates and distances in Cops and Robbers.

All of the resources come with supporting worksheets, lesson plans and teacher notes.

We also offer a range of mental arithmetic games which help prepare the learners for the challenge of the resources.

You can try Learnalot for free for 14 days by signing up to the free trial at www.learnalot.com
