Going cashless with the right edtech

On the 1st November 2017, Nightingale Primary School in Greenwich joined the Maritime Academy Trust. The school took this opportunity in becoming an Academy to check the edtech market for innovative solutions which could help them move forward into the new era.

In May of this year, Guilden Sutton Primary School in Cheshire found a new way to remove headaches from residential trips, school meal payments, sporting events, and even the school disco! One of the school administrators had used management app eeZeeTrip as a parent at a neighbouring school, and was keen to see the benefits for Guilden Sutton.

Transforming how a school operates

This school year, Ysgol Cae Top Primary in Gwynedd will this year be maximising the use of a resource that in July won them ‘Best Tech Adopter’ at the prestigious Wales Technology Awards. The tech in question? eeZeeTrip - made by Gwynedd neighbour Semantise Ltd!

A Trust representing four schools in Cheshire has begun using a new resource to streamline club, trip, communication and payment management. North West Academies Trust (NWAT), made up of St Martin’s Academy, Delamere Academy, Oak View Academy and Ellesmere Primary, approached Gwynedd-based innovators eeZeeTrip after deciding that they wanted to further improve their day-to-day school payments system.

Staff and pupils from Ysgol Cae Top, Bangor, have teamed up with local IT company Semantise Ltd to help parents keep up to date with the school's activities. Innovative iPhone and Android app eeZeeTrip enables parents to quickly see details of the school events and trips children are going on. eeZeeTrip was the brainchild of Llew Davis, headteacher at Cae Top, who wanted to solve the problem of the large number of letters going to and from home.

Hope School, located in Belle Vale, Liverpool, has been working with Welsh company eeZeeTrip to enable bigger, better and more organised school trips than ever before. This was in order to combat the issues experienced when staff wanted to take pupils beyond the school walls, and instead use the situation to their complete advantage. The Outstanding-rated Hope School provides for boys with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties, so ensuring a secure school trip system was of paramount importance.
