EduKit is a social enterprise that helps schools to raise pupil attainment and their Ofsted rankings by connecting them with providers running thousands of academic and personal development programmes. They track how pupils perform when on programmes and allow schools to generate pupil premium reports at the click of a button, and were awarded a DfE seed innovation award (2014) and BETT Award finalists (2015).
The introduction of the Pupil Premium back in 2010 underlined the importance of narrowing the attainment gap and ensuring that all students are supported in achieving their potential. EduKit, who already offer a free trip-advisor-style directory that allows schools to find free and low-cost support and interventions for their students, have now responded these concerns by launching EduKit Insight - an innovative, easy-to-use tracker that allows schools to evidence the impact of the support they are using, understand which students are missing out and identify both priority areas for the school and corresponding support.
EduKit, an online platform set up by youth workers and parents, is now allowing teachers to post and review recommendations on programmes that they have used or seen and considered beneficial. This feature will, for the first time, allow teachers to be able to share their views on which programmes were most engaging for pupils and, crucially, had the most meaningful short and / or long term impact.
