Rushton Parish Council came to us at Creative Play with their plans. With the area of development being so large, they asked, could we provide several ideas to promote an exciting playground for all children to enjoy?
So we got to work. First up, the playground. Half of this section needed to incorporate a ‘Play Zone’, and was to include a Heartwood Tower System, a Lilliput Playtown Two, a Spinner, Swings and a Parasol Shelter. Our large Heartwood Tower was particularly ideal for a multi-play unit which could accommodate plenty of children at any one time.
Next, we installed a Multi-Use Games Area to the second half of the development. This feature encourages sporting activities and team-based games. It was specifically tailored for use by Eaton Primary during the school day and by the local community in the evening and at weekends. This section is now ideal for bringing the community as a whole together.

As proud Youth Sport Trust (YST) members, we work hard to encourage participation in the Active 30:30 plan. This is the YST’s response to the Government Childhood Obesity Plan that has set out the ambition for all children to achieve one hour of physical activity every day, with schools being responsible for providing 30 of the active minutes.
This collaboration with Rushton Parish Council was the perfect opportunity to encourage children to not only enjoy play during school breaks and PE, but also to enjoy the other half of the play area after school.
