Night Zookeeper is a Primary school learning resource that started as a simple story about magical animals. It is proven to raise student attainment levels and the website inspires and engages children, nurturing a love of reading and writing as they develop core skills across the curriculum. Whereas many programmes help children develop their Maths skills, Night Zookeeper focuses on teaching literacy skills.
Nominet Trust has awarded creative writing and learning platform NightZookeeper £30k from its Social Tech Seed funding programme to develop a new educational tool aimed at inspiring a love of reading and writing in children. This funding enable the BAFTA-nominated organisation to develop a new feature that will not only support time-short teachers, but also help parents and teachers to identify the first signs of learning difficulties, such as dyslexia, at the earliest possible stage.
