Secondary school event
In March this year, education secretary Damian Hinds pledged to strip away workload that doesn’t add value in the classroom and give teachers the time to focus on teaching, in his first speech to the profession. This event very much continues the momentum at a regional level, with a visit to Blatchington Mill School and Sixth Form College in Hove, East Sussex.
For the 30th November, we have teamed up with The Pavilion & Downs Teaching School Alliance to bring you an action-packed agenda full of practical ideas to strategically reduce marking, lesson planning and back office admin - to name just a few of the key pain-points schools are facing regarding workload.
There couldn't be an Innovate My School event without one of our super-efficient Speed Dating sessions. We've vetted 10 of the best edtech providers that are shaving off hours of time for their school customers. Meet them all in one go!
In addition to some top-notch food, we will be sharing the findings of our own national edtech survey, and revealing our new evaluation framework to support senior leaders in rapidly evaluating the effectiveness of edtech in their school - as well as the impact this can have on workload.
All of our events have an inclusive feel. Built from the ground up, they provide a unique blend of grassroots ideas combined with national voices, where attendees can share, discuss and debate ideas throughout the day - or simply lurk in the background. Whichever you prefer, we hope to see you there.
Everything we do is free for schools, and this event is no different. Places are free for up to 2 delegates and includes breakfast, refreshments and an executive lunch.
We have space for 50 delegates per event, so we strongly recommend you book your ticket in advance!

Hosted by the forward-thinking Essa Academy, the 23rd November will bring together senior leaders from across Bolton and Greater Manchester to share best practice, develop new ideas and make meaningful partnerships.
