What a year it’s been – our lives have been turned upside down and spun around. We cannot help but worry for learners around the world. With lockdowns (yes, plural), school closures (although they never really ‘closed’, did they?) and constant change, 2020 can certainly be described as challenging. But, despite this, we absolutely do not want learners’ education to suffer – and we are pretty sure you feel the same.

So, at Numerise, we’re running a competition to try and keep learners focused and motivated in maths for the rest of the year. Introducing Winter Numberland…

Winter Numberland

Practice really does make perfect, and we want to keep everyone practising Maths throughout December. What better way than to run a competition?

We will be crowning not one, not two, but FOUR winners at the end of this competition. What's more, every winner will receive:

  • A brand-new Google Chromebook
  • A year-long subscription to Numerise

It’s super easy (and free) to enter. All your students have to do is create a free Numerise account and answer 30 questions correctly in one week to be entered into that week’s prize draw. Full details here.

What is Numerise?

If the competition has sparked an interest, we should probably explain what Numerise is.

Numerise is the easy way to build confidence in Maths at home. With personalised practice and over 9,000 explainer videos to help when the Maths just doesn’t make sense, learners can work at their own pace and take all their progress back to school.

The Maths aligns with what learners are taught in school and every major exam board in England, so you can rest assured that everything they work on will help them with exams, and beyond school. Plus, they can set goals and earn achievements along the way to keep them motivated and on-track.

Parents and carers get their very own dashboard, which means that they can see the amazing progress by made by their child(ren), and celebrate with them when the time comes.

Numerise is brought to you by the same brains behind award-winning products Sparx Maths and HegartyMaths – already helping 1.4 million learners around the world.

#GetMathsConfident

In October, we launched our #GetMathsConfident campaign. The campaign aims to boost learners’ confidence in maths with tips, helpful resources, videos from experts and much more. Teachers, parents and learners can find a whole host of confidence-boosting resources including videos, recipes, podcasts and playlists over on our Confidence Lab. Here are a few of our favourites:

  • ‘Focus room’ Spotify playlist – designed to improve concentration
  • 10 brain-boosting snacks to help focus and motivation
  • Downloadable positive affirmations to empower learners when they look at their phone
  • A special video from Mr Hegarty himself explaining the power of practice

Don't take our word for it

We know that it’s really easy for us to tell you how much we like Numerise, but that’s not helpful. So, we recruited a few Numerise Ambassadors who can tell you how Numerise has helped them with Maths.
