Imagine you are an early years teacher. One day a member of the senior team comes to you and says that you need to teach science, which is becoming mandatory even in early years education. But how an earth should you teach science to 3 year olds?

Gladly we know how, because we did years of academic research. So we licenced our concept and content to educators, and offered it to them through online platform training, a sound pedagogical model, material list, content with engaging stories, and video guidance for hands-on experiments. We believe that you don’t need to buy more plastic and science kits to achieve effective STEAM education with children!

What we have done so far? After years of academic research by co-founder Jenni Vartiainen, our trio of diverse founders launched Kide Science eighteen months ago, and scaled immediately in Finland for the private and public sector.

We were delighted when Finland’s biggest TV channel, YLE, reached out to create a TV series with us, reaching 300,000 children weekly. Media Group Sanoma also wanted to publish a book series with our brand and characters, and we have now sold over 20,000 books.

We are now achieving revenues from our licenced STEAM sessions totalling 0.3M Euros, and that has allowed us to flourish to a team of 9, and achieve growth internationally, with Kide Science sessions now happening in 6 countries. In autumn 2019, Kide Science will be used in a total of 13 countries in Asia.

We just closed our 1 Million euro seed round with edtech investors and we have received many awards and certifications, but the best recognition is, of course, receiving the glowing feedback from happy children.

Let’s take a step back and imagine you are the same teacher who was asked to teach science out of the blue; after starting the Kide Science session, your biggest problem is getting those little researchers out of the classroom because they want to explore and play, again and again, by themselves!
