Innovate EdTech is a one-day conference focusing on the most effective uses of technology in education. The event is made up of engaging and impactful talks and workshops, mixed in with opportunities to try things out, connect with people from all over the education space, make new friends, share experiences and be inspired.
The theme for this year, The Rise of Learner Experience, looks at the importance of a learner-centred approach to the design and use of technology in education and how technology can be used to solve real problems for learners. They have an amazing lineup of speakers, including Rose Luckin, professor of Learner Centred Design at UCL, who will be speaking about artificial intelligence (AI) and its place in education. They also have a panel hosted by Sophie Bailey of the EdTech Podcast, Doug Belshaw speaking on recognising, developing and credentialing digital literacies, and app enthusiast Joe Dale bringing some fresh ideas for curating resources for the classroom.
The event will take place in the state-of-the-art Loughborough University London campus in Here East, East London, a venue perfect for collaboration and interaction. Plus there will be games and activities throughout the day, music, delicious food and drinks, an evening party by the canal and plenty of fun times.
